Visa Procedure:

All kinds of visas are processed through The Embassy of Germany. Applications are required to be submitted on prior appointment basis. All visa applicants are required to book an appointment prior to submission. Applicant must attend in person at the Embassy.

Documents Requirements:

Personal Documents:

• Duly filled online application form
• Photos must be 3.5x4.5 cm, color photo with white background, taken within the last 6 months; requirements are given at : www.dhaka.diplo.de/visa
• Current (valid for 6 months) and Old passports, if immediate previous passport is lost then a G.D (English) copy for that passport is required.
• Legible photocopy of the applicant’s passport data page (identification page) and the last two Schengen visas (if applicable)
• Birth certificate/National ID Card of applicant
• Marriage Certificate (Nika Namah for Muslim, Marriage Act for Hindus) divorce certificate (Talak Namah for Muslim)/Death certificate (for widow or widowers).
• Forwarding letter (from applicant)
• Bangladeshi Residence Permit (for non-Bangladeshi applicants) - valid at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States.

Professional Documents:

• For Business Person: Trade license, memorandum of article, Certificate of incorporation of the company or organization, VAT, IRC, membership certificate etc.
• Employer letter (if Business visit) – short company profile as mentioning address, telephone and fax number of the company - name and position in the company of the countersigning officer - name of applicant, position, salary and number of years of service
• For Employee : NOC letter - stating the name, the position, the date of hiring, the salary and the dates of leave authorization, Pay Slip (for last 3 months)/Salary certificate, GO & Note verbal (for official passport holders).
• Visiting Card
• For Retired Person: Retirement documents
• For Student: proof of enrolment in educational establishment in Bangladesh - certificate of leave of absence if travelling during school year. The certificate should mention full address, telephone number, permission of absence; name and function of the person granting permission - if school trips, letter of the school mentioning the purpose, the duration and the destination

Financial Documents:

• Bank solvency & statement ( both company & personal )
• Other financial documents-such as FDR, credit card statements, saving certificate, share statement etc. (if available), salary statement (for employee)
• Income Tax Certificate (For last 3 years) / TIN certificate
• Valuation of other Assets (if any)

Travel Documents:

• Air Booking copy
• Hotel Booking Copy
• Tour Plan (additional)

Overseas Documents:

• For tourist visit: submission of a Formal Obligation Letter (Verpflichtungserklärung) – original and one photocopy of the document) according to §§ 66-68 AufenthG /German Residence Act, signed by the inviting company at the competent Aliens Authority (Ausländerbehörde) in Germany or an informal letter of invitation, in which the sponsor guarantees to bear all costs according to §§ 66-68 AufenthG/ German Residence Act
• For visiting family or friends: proof of sponsorship including proof of family/ties with the sponsor, letter of invitation, specific countries may request additional supporting documentation, (see list of country websites for details)
• For business visit: Business Invitation letter-the letter should incorporate relevant personal data of the invited, length of the invitation, reason and activity to develop in the Member State during the visit, evidence of former and current transactions in Bangladesh and/or abroad (eg: bill of lading, receipts, )
• For commercial fairs or congress: (i) proof of attendance through either letters of invitation from the organizer of the event, or payment of the registration fee; (ii) programme of the event. Contracts, correspondence).

Others:

• Travel Health Insurance ( for up to up to 30,000 Euros)

NOTE:

• If Note Verbal is available, then Health Insurance is not mandatory for Official Passport Holders & for transit visa there is no need to show travel health insurance
• German Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional documents or a personal additional interview

Processing Time:

• File Processing: 3 / 4 working days
• Appointment : After 10-15 days (depends on availability)
• Embassy Processing time: Minimum 7 calendar days

Visa fee:

• Embassy fee: EURO 60 / Tk. 6122 (Approx.)
• Processing fee : Tk.3000
