And The Embassy of Sweden of Bangladesh has appointed VFS Global as an outsourced partner to facilate applications. Applications are required to be submitted on walk-in basis and applicant must attend in person during visa application submission.

Documents Requirements:

Personal documents:

• Duly filled Application form, Referee appendix- invitation and questionnaire form (if visiting family & friends)
• 2 copy photo- photos must be 3.5x4.5 cm, color photo with white background, taken within the last 6 months
• Current (valid for 6 months) and Old passports, if immediate previous passport is lost then a G.D (English) copy for that passport is required.
• Photocopy of Bio page and all Schengen visas
• Birth certificate/National ID Card of applicant
• Marriage Certificate (Nika Namah for Muslim, Marriage Act for Hindus) divorce certificate (Talak Namah for Muslim)/Death certificate (for widow or widowers).
• Forwarding letter (from applicant)
• For other nationalities: Bangladeshi Residence Permit (for non-Bangladeshi applicants) - valid at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States.

Professional Documents:

• For Business Person : Trade license, memorandum of article ( for Ltd company), Certificate of incorporation of the company or organization ,VAT, IRC, membership certificate etc.
• Employment letter (from employer for business visit)- introducing the businessperson, purpose and duration of the visit(s), financial cover of the visit, short company profile, etc.
• For Employee : NOC letter - mentioning address, telephone and fax number of the company (ii)Name and position in the company of the countersigning officer (iii)Name of applicant and position, salary and number of years of service, Pay Slip-last 3 months, Salary certificate, GO & Note verbal (for official passport holders)
• Visiting Card
• For Retired Person: Retirement documents
• For Student: (i) Proof of enrolment in educational establishment in Bangladesh (ii) Certificate of leave of absence if traveling during school year. The Certificate should mention full address, telephone number, and permission of absence, name and function of the person granting permission. (iii) If school trips, letter of the school mentioning the purpose, the duration and the destination.
• For other nationalities: Work permit copy / proof of enrollment in a university or school

Financial Documents:

• Bank solvency & statement ( both company & personal )
• Other financial documents-such as FDR, credit card statements, saving certificate, share statement etc. (if available)
• Income Tax Certificate (For last 3 years) / TIN certificate
• Valuation of other Assets (if any)

Travel Documents:

• Air Booking copy
• Hotel Booking Copy

Overseas Documents:

• For Tourist Visit: Personal Invitation letter & additional supporting documentation (if available).
• If Visiting Family or Friends: Proof of sponsorship including proof of family/ties with sponsor, letter of invitation & additional supporting documentation
• For Business Visit: Business invitation letter- The letter should incorporate relevant personal data of the invited, length of the invitation, reason and activity to develop in the Member State during the visit. Evidence of former and current transactions in Bangladesh and/or abroad (e.g. bill of lading, receipts, contracts, correspondence). If commercial fairs or congress: (i) Proof of attendance through either letters of invitation from the organizer of the event, or payment of the registration fee; (ii) Programme of the event.
• If commercial fairs or congress:

- Proof of attendance through either letters of invitation from the organiser of the event, or payment of the registration fee

- Programme of the event.

• If Medical visit –
• An official document of the medical institution confirming necessity for medical care in that institution
• Written confirmation of appointment with a hospital or medical doctor in the Member State
• Information regarding the estimated duration of the treatment
• Proof of sufficient financial means to pay for the medical treatment and proof of prepayment if applicable

Other:

• Health and Travel insurance for Schengen (Original & Photocopy).

Note: If Note Verbal is available, then Health Insurance is not mandatory for Official Passport Holders.

Processing Time (Approx.):

• File Processing: 3/ 4 working days
• Embassy / VFS Processing: 15 working days normally

• Processing fee: Tourist & Business TK. 3000 BDT
