Visa Procedure (Tourist & Business):

Canada VFS in Bangladesh does the process of receiving and handing over documents and passport for visa Applications. Applications are submitted on walk-in basis & applicant must be attend in person.

Requirements (Tourist & Business):

Personal Documents:

• Duly filled Application form (IMM 5257) & Family Information form (IMM 5646) & Schedule 1 Form-IMM 5257 (if applicable).
• Two recent color photographs with white background (size 35X45mm for under 14years)
• Current passport with minimum 6 months validity and old passports, if any lost, GD copy (English) to be attached.
• If you have travelled to Canada in the last ten (10) years or currently hold a valid United States of America non-immigrant visa, provide proof of this Canadian travel or valid USA visa (entry stamps in passport, proof of the valid visa)
• Birth certificate/National ID Card of applicant (photocopy)
• Marriage Certificate (Nika Namah for Muslim, Marriage Act for Hindus) divorce certificate (Talak Namah for Muslim)/Death certificate (for widow or widowers).
• Forwarding letter (from applicant)
• For Foreigner - Work permit or study permit copy, Bangladeshi Residence Permit - valid at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States.

Professional Documents:

• For Business Person: Trade license, memorandum of article, Certificate of incorporation of the company or organization, VAT, IRC, membership certificate etc.
• Employment letter (from employer for business visit) - a signed original letter on company letterhead from the employer indicating that the proposed travel to Canada has been approved. This letter must include the purpose of travel; applicant’s name, position, salary and date of hire; and a statement specifying who will be responsible for all expenses related to the trip.
• For Employee : NOC letter (the letter will contain applicant’s name, position, current salary and date of hire the employer’s name and address as well as the telephone and fax number), Pay Slip – last 3 months, GO & Note verbal (for official passport holders).
• Visiting Card
• For Retired Person: Retirement documents
• For Student : Student ID copy, School leave letter / Academic calendar
• For Foreigner: Work permit copy

Financial Documents:

• Bank solvency & statement (both company & personal)
• Other financial documents-such as FDR, saving certificate, salary statement, proof of pension, business registration, investments etc. (if available)
• Income Tax Certificate (For last 3 years)/TIN certificate
• Valuation of other Assets (if any)

Note: If you have travelled to Canada in the last ten (10) years or currently hold a valid United States of America non-immigrant visa and can provide proof (entry stamps in passport, proof of the valid visa) no proof of financial support is required & if the expenses are paid by other than • Provide a letter signed by the person paying and a photocopy of their passport, or other official identification with photo and a bank certificate proving that they have sufficient funds. • Describe how this person is related to you. These documents must be dated within three months of the date on which the application is submitted.

Travel Documents:

• Air Booking copy
• Hotel Booking Copy

Overseas Documents:

• For Business visit or conference: A letter of invitation from the party in Canada. The invitation letter must come from the party with whom the applicant will conduct direct business. This excludes third parties who are only arranging or facilitating the business meetings / conference.
• For Tourist visit/visiting family or friends: A letter of invitation and supporting documents from the inviter in Canada stating the purpose and duration of visit · Proof of relation to your inviter in Canada (birth certificate, marriage certificate, proof of correspondence etc.) · Copy of inviter’s citizenship or immigration status document (for example: Permanent Resident Card – please photocopy both sides, Study Permit, Work Permit, Tenancy agreement copy, utility bill copy, bank statement copy etc.)

Attention:  Finger must be free of MEHDI or any other color for Bio Metric

Processing Time (Approx.):

• File Processing                  :  3/ 4 working days
• Embassy / VFS Processing :  11 days + Transit time (Total Approx. 2/3 weeks)

Visa fee Details (Tourist & Business):

• Embassy fee (Approx.): Adult TK. 10,620, Child TK. 9,000 (under 14 years)
• File Processing fee: TK. 4,380
